The Sí Se Puede program in early December saw over 175 people who came to learn more about Oregon State University's colleges, academic programs, services and resources, and bilingual representatives. The annual event brings OSU into Latino communities with purposes of outreach, university access, exposure and promotion of higher education. Javier Cervantes, Director of the CASA Latina/o de OSU, led OSU faculty, staff and current OSU students all from various departments and clubs at the event which was held at Forest Grove High School. Prospective students and family members were able to ask questions regarding admissions, financial aid, scholarships, housing, resources and other topics.
Special thanks to representatives from Forest Grove High School who assisted with the program. Photos coming soon... (Update 1.14.08: Pics are back in new and improved web friendly size! -dc)

Conexiones is a program intended to give in-coming Latino students an orientation to OSU campus life in conjunction with OSU Connect. Conexiones is focused on cultural education and is driven by students, planned by students, and executed by students of Latino heritage.
This is an opportunity for Latino students at OSU to give back to new in-coming Latinos to connect them and with the resources that they know have worked for them as upper classmen. New students that participate in Conexiones also have the opportunity to meet peers, faculty, and other resources as a way to make OSU a home away from home.
